Biography

Alberto Ortiz graduated in Geology from the University de Córdoba, Argentina. He started with Total Austral in 1997 and three years later joined Schlumberger as a Petrophysicist. In 2011, he joined YPF in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and from 2013 to October 2020 was assigned the unconventional shale play reservoir characterization with his team.

Alberto has written numerous papers related to the Petrophysical evaluation of unconventional reservoirs, including the chapter on formation evaluation of the Vaca Muerta formation AAPG memories. He recently co-founded a consulting company called NZC solutions.
